Been Up To No Good

Haha. No lah... I'm such a good girl, I'm the last to be up to no good. :P Attended Bourbon & DT's birthday party last Sat. Felt a little out of place perhaps becoz we've been out of the dog gathering scene for so long. Ton Ton enjoyed himself begging for food from everyone at the party. (So sia suay!)

I'm expecting my Charmed & Herbs For Pets next week (estimated date of delivery is 5th Feb) & I can hardly wait. Reading Iris's blog makes me very gian to buy Holistic Aromatherapy & 4 Paws 5 Directions. The only problem left will be to find out where to get 100% pure essential oils & organic food stuff. I hope that I can ease Jeff from his allergic rhinitis too. So itchy! Should I order now when the exchange rate is good? But CNY coming, Jeff's birthday coming, moving soon. Gosh!

I'm catching up on Bleach. Currently at episode 120+ going on to 130 already. Yippie! Going off to watch Bleach liao. Time to oogle at my handsomes: Byakuya, Ishida, Toushirou & my beautiful Mastumoto. I enjoy her interaction with her captain, Toushirou. I believe that Inoue still has lots of room for improvement, machiam like Sakura.

Tis The Season To Be Spending... Fa La La La

Terrible, terrible! I'm sooo guilty! Due to the decrease in wages, I've been spending much lesser than before. But I still maintain my previous savings amount so I have lesser spending amount. It doesn't bother me much coz shopping has never been my interest. I only enjoy shopping for groceries. I borrow most of the books I read from the library, rent VCDs (4 shows for $10) & watch my anime online. I used to buy but I guess I've started to realise that all these take up too much space & will continue to if I continue buying. It's so difficult to get rid of coz nobody wants to buy & it's too wasteful to throw away. The only option left is to give away. So better not to buy.

Been wanting to buy a book (Herbs For Pets) recommended by Iris long time ago but haven't been actively searching for it. I did a search for it in amazon today & it costs US$19.77 excluding shipping. Since I'm ordering, I sinfully did a search for my favourite Charmed. I'm only left with season 6 to 8 to complete the series. This is an absolute favourite so I'm buying. The exchange rate today is 1.438. To save money, I chose the ship in 1 shipment (normal) option. Expected date of delievery is 4th to 12th Feb. There're other shipping options that lets me receive the items faster but they also cost much much more so that's out. Total cost including shipping comes up to US$166.69 which when converted using 1.5 (always better to calculate more than less), it's about $250 which is a steal. Coz when buying Charmed in Singapore, 1 season will cost $90+. The book price in Kinno is $54+, which means I got 3 seasons of Charmed for less than $200. Yeah!

As many of you know, Ton Ton has been having a bout of tear staining, something that has not happened since I tried & stopped TW kibbles more than 1.5 years ago. So I'm hoping that a change in the diet will eliminate the problem. I'm going to finish off the remaining supplements then convert to using herbs. This is where the book comes in. I do believe that even if it doesn't help in the tear stains, it'll help to boost their health & hopefully giving them longer, healthier lives.

How fast... You're 2 years old today. I can still remember the very 1st time we met. You were snuggled up with your sister in the same cubicle sleeping. Never would I imagine at that moment that you would soon join us as part of the family. Is there such a thing as fate & destiny? If there is, then from the day you're born, you're meant to be with us.

From a little puppy, we lovingly raise you into an adult, ever so handsome in my heart. When we celebrated your birthday last year, you just got neutered. I remembered how I cried terribly, feeling so wretched coz I made the decision to have you neutered. Perhaps I would have done it eventually but at that point in time, I wasn't mentally or emotionally prepared. But you, my boy, braved it through. It broke my heart & yet made me so relieved when you howled several times the moment we brought you out from the vet's.

For your birthday last year, I baked a meat loaf using pork, liver & potato. This year, I decided to keep to the tradition & baked you a banana cake (though it turned out more like a "kuey"). No matter how the food I made for you turned out, you always eat it all.

I know I shouldn't have morbid thoughts but I just can't help it. With each passing birthday, I get this increasing fear & worry. How long more do we have together? 10 years? 15 years? This number is just going to get lesser & lesser. I so fear the day that you leave me will come. How I wish I can let time stand still. This way, we can be together forever.

Remember this, Ton Ton. No matter how bad the punishment I give you seems to be, I love you with all my heart.

PMSing Week

Been meaning to gumble about the above for the entire week. But I was too busy watching Bleach each time I come online. Then I'll forget all about it until after I shut down the com.

Looks like me & Serene are suffering from the same fate. The visit of PMS. My mood has taken & is still taking a nose dive, pimples popping up all over my face & my breasts have been & still are super tender. Each time I go down the stairs I must make sure I support them with my arms coz even the slightest jiggle will cause me severe discomfort. Sometimes they hurt so much that I can feel the pain throbbing even when lying still in bed. Started having cramps yesterday & they've become more frequent & intense today. It should be starting soon bah. I'll give it till Monday. Why is it such a hassle to be a woman?

Busy With My Non Existant Social Life

Been spending a lot of time online. For a while after Dogsrus closed down, I can't find any reason for me to switch on my computer since it's the only forum I frequent. So I decided to try watching this anime everyone is raving about: Bleach. I just finished watching episode 71 & I started like 2 weeks ago. I watch between 2 to 12 episodes a day depending on whether I'm working or half day or off.

Cross stitching is much slower due to the time spent online. :P I've completed the flowers on the bride's hair. Now I'm stitching up the bride's fringe & ponytail. Soon, I'll be able to move on to her face.

A friend just called me. She wanted to know if I'm interested in joining her team of mobile nurses. She's getting a basic of $2500 which is $200 more than mine. Office hours but do over run up to 9 pm sometimes. You don't get paid overtime for it though. Then you get an off day after on call whereby you hold a phone & proceed to wherever you're needed. You get $10 per trip. If you do private nursing over the weekends, you get the private rate of $160 weekday, $170 weekend, add $10 for night shift. Money is definately better than my current job but sounds like long hours & hard work. As always, I'm tempted by the money. :X

Hello 2008!

How I Welcomed 2008

I had to work full day on New Year's eve. I had a quiet evening in mind: go home & watch Bleach, an anime that I've just started watching. It was super busy at work & I didn't have time to reply Jeff when he smsed me about the plans he & his friends came up with. So by the time 6 pm came, I had to go along with whatever they'd planned. Jeff came to fetch me & we went to Mac's at King Albert for dinner before proceeding to Bukit Timah Plaza.

The initial plan was to play DOTA (the guys) at BTP, then head to Holland V's Cold Storage to get food items for a mini BBQ by the Jurong Canal. In the end, only Lian Hong made it to BTP while TC was at D&D, Remi chionging somewhere & CK still at work. CK got Regina to buy some food items at Cold Storage Coronation Plaza & we went to pick them up at 10+ pm. I didn't really enjoy the whole thing coz my hair was greasy, my body sticky & I was so tired.

TC just got home & 5 of us went to his house to prepare the food items. We finally got to Jurong Canal just as 12 MN striked. We had problem with the charcoal coz it wouldn't burn nicely. Lian Hong & Jeff finally went to Lian Hong's place to get whatever charcoal he had left. By the time they got back, it was almost 2 am & we finally could BBQ properly. It was late 4 am when we left. Lian Hong & Remi walked home. Jeff dropped TC at his place even though he stayed nearby as well becoz of the BBQ items he needed to bring home.

I fell asleep as Jeff drove CK & Regina home. I didn't even know when Regina alighted. But I woke up briefly when CK alighted & I waved bye to him. I didn't wake up until Jeff killed the engine. Went back upstairs & showered. We finally slept at 6 am.

I forced myself to wake up at 9+ am coz the 3 boys needed to be showered. I made a record by getting them all done in 2 hours. I watched Bleach for a few hours & went to take a nap at 3 pm. Woke up at 5+ pm & went to cook plain rice porridge. Just had this craving to eat plain porridge with "Ka Na Chai" (olive vege) & "Tao Tzu" (fermented beancurd) & we had that for dinner. Sometimes when you have too much of good food, you really come to enjoy such simple fares.

So that's how we spent New Year's Eve & New Year's Day itself. I don't believe in resolutions & I've never made them before. Now I gotta set a goal for myself. To complete the Precious Moment cross stitch I started even before I had my wedding pictures taken last year. Hopefully, I can get it done before I move so I can hang it up in my new house. It's a picture of a groom & bride in a car. I didn't get further than stitching the bride's hair though... :X
