Good Or Evil

Some say humans are born evil. But...
If humans are evil, what can we do against such reckless contempt?
Others say humans are born good. Then...
If humans are good, why are we living in such perils?

If good & evil are nurtured...
Then who taught them to go either way?

The verses "light does the darkness most fear" & "in the end only kindness matters" are from Jewel's song Hands. I like most the Christmas version. Somehow it failed to cheer me up this time. But I have hope yet. Not in most of the human species of course. Rather, I have hope that somehow & some way, things will work out.

Out To Wring Me Dry

Next Friday marks the last day of my work. I don't know how I feel about it. Perhaps it's still very far away considering that I drag myself to work every single day. I've never done liver cases before. It's 1 of the most complicated op in my discipline. For some reasons, Sister K wanted me to do the case tomorrow. Can't I just 'relax' for the rest of my remaining days? Do they have to wring me dry?

For many months now I have sleep problems. I'll have no problem falling asleep. But staying asleep is another matter. I'll wake up 3 to 4 hours after falling asleep & I won't be able to go back to sleep. So I'll be so tired & lethargic during the day. It happens only when I have to work the next day. But if I'm off the next day, I can sleep through the night till late morning. If it's not the job, I don't know what the problem is.

Hoola Hoop?

The ? is me trying to figure out if I spelled it correctly. It's a PH today & I had this urge to try the d*mn thing until I master it. & I did. In 20 min. I thought that a bigger hoop will be tougher but turned out that it is so much easier to keep it spinning. & I did it for 1.5 hrs. Now my waist is aching. Haha. Gotta keep it short. Have an email to type.
