Handing In Of Resignation Letter = Failed!

Oh well... What do I do? She didn't want to accept the letter. Here are some of the things she said. In a very nice way of course.

1. You've been working for a year already & I think you're getting along fine. It's a pity to give it up now.
2. Don't get too affected by all the complains.
3. Don't rush into it.
4. You're getting married & probably it's the stress & all.
5. Now you're getting married & you haven't found a job might as well stay on. (I told her I'm going back to agency nursing.)
6. You're getting the pay of a junior nursing officer here & you won't find elsewhere that pays just as well.
7. Think about it again.

I think these are the real reasons.
8. *** (My SRN colleague) is also leaving so you stay & help us for another few months lah. (There's not enough staff.)
9. It's difficult to train & retrain new staff.

Then she complained to me about my SRN colleague. Hai... She see human, speak human language. See ghost, speak ghost language. I didn't insisted she take the letter coz I'm short of 2 copies & I didn't want to print it in front of her. So I'll hand in tomorrow & no matter what, I have to succeed.

For the sake of $$$, then stay till after CNY. Else, just work till the day u stated in the letter.

I think more on the $$$ side. Setting up family need $$$, and CNY need 2 spend unnecessary $$$ as well.

i don agreed to anonymous...for me if i feel that i can't tolerate the supervisor nonsense anymore, i see no reason i shd stay further..in the first place, i wd hv resigned long ago..then to drag till today..and it is very demotivating when the probation letter still not sign..why is the sup holding back???

next, i wd rather keep myself available anytime if there is a job opportunities..

btw $$$ is never enuff in sg..so juz spend the necessary and somemore jo is putting up with her family..at least not so much on the setting up funds...

cheers...

You're right, Gems. I should have resigned long time ago. In fact, that's what I've been thinking about 1 mth after I've joined which was in March.

But like what Anonymous said, for the sake of money I stayed on. Becoz my family needs it, & most of all, I don't want Jeff to have to suffer like the previous time.

But look at where it got me. I can earn just as much doing agency nursing. I'm leaving becoz at some point, it has to stop. If I back out now, I don't know if I have the courage to try again.

My view remain unchanged. But just do a simple calculation, after u leave - your current saving + the final month wages can last you for how long before you get your next job.

I suffer in this type of situation before, the boss of that company deliberately delay in giving out wages every month. I am also forced to face with to stay or to go. So I hold on till I got another job coz I can't go without income for who knows how many months.
