Fate Brought Him To Us

Ok, I'm feeling very lazy. So I'm gonna copy & paste the story from various sources. :P

Last Saturday late morning, my dad found a dog while walking Ton Ton. He checked with the residents sitting around where he found the dog & found out that this dog has been roaming for about a few days to a week. The residents revealed that there've been a few families moving out recently & maybe 1 of them abandoned the dog. I believed he was abandoned becoz the dog kept loitering around the same area which we believe was where he used to stay. If he was lost, surely the owner could find him coz he stayed put around the area.

Anyway, he followed my dad back to our block but my dad didn't bring him back home. He told me about the incident when I woke up & he didn't bring him back as he fear that I'll object to it. Immediately, I grabbed a packet of treats & went downstairs with my dad to look for him. We couldn't find him under our block so we went to where my dad found him & there he was. Once again, he followed us back home.

He's been with us since then & he adapted very well. I brought him to the vet the very night we found him. The vet estimated him to be above 4 years old. He has several small wounds on his legs, chin & armpit. His dental health is very very bad. He has the worst breath & many of his teeth are shakey. But he is well otherwise. He has CHH head, JRT body & Whippet legs. Unique combination huh?

We're seriously thinking of sending him for all the health works. But to do that, we'll need about $500. Here's a list of what's to be done:

1. Blood tests for GA ~ $150
2. Blood test for heartworm ~ ?
3. Sterilization ~ $130
4. Extraction & scaling ~ $110 for scaling
5. Deworming ~ $5
6. Vaccination ~ $30+
7. Treatment for heartworm (if +ve) OR prevention for heartworm (if -ve) ~ ?
