Whatz That Smell???

Didn't mention this in my previous entries. But ever since Ton Ton had diarrhea, his face & his mouth has got an awful smell. Something like shit smell. I thought it was due to him sniffing his diarrhea which I caught him doing once. So I showered him yesterday. The smell on the face is almost gone but his breath continues to be super stinko.

I was worried that the shitty breath smell may be becoz he has intestinal obstruction & the digested food can't come out & hence reflux back up. Besides, he has not poop since Tuesday evening & now it's already Sat afternoon. Jeff asked me if there's any posibility that he has been eating up his diarrhea/poo. I told him that I doubted it.

This morning, I woke up at 9 am, wanting to wash the van. When I came out from my room, Ton Ton came to greet me as usual. Guess what I saw? His tail was wet! So all along he may have been licking his anus, causing his breath to stink! Yucks!

I wonder if his licking may be due to his anal gland being full or becoz he's constipated & wanted to stimulate defecation. Jon told me that his camp mate who's a vet stimulated the kittens they rescued in Tekong to defecate by tickling the anus. Maybe I should give him some bananas? I don't know how to empty anal gland. I've tried but it never comes out.

Another way to make him poo is to bring him downstairs. He never fails to poo despite having done so at home. But the thing is, my dad broke his new harness that we've used less than 10 times! This brand of harness is hard to get & I've been to many pet shops but none carries it. It's quite out of the way to go back to the same pet shop. I actually intended to make a trip there tomorrow afternoon when I'm done with the 'sao mu' (cleaning the graves). & why do I have to get the same brand? Becoz the matching leash is of that brand. Grr...
