Ton Ton Is Sick!

On my way home yesterday, I received a call from my mom saying that Ton Ton is having diarrhea, passing lose & watery stools for 5 times since afternoon. She wasn't keen to follow my instructions not to feed Ton Ton. It never fails to piss me off when she refuses to listen.

Bus 67 takes me back to the interchange where I stopped at NTUC to buy a small tub of natural unsweetened yogurt. When I got home, my mom kept pestering me to feed Ton Ton as "his stomach is empty & all flattened out". Finally, I got so pissed off that I told her, "He won't die even if he doesn't eat for a day. But he will die if you continue feeding him & he continues to have diarrhea!" She stopped pestering me after that but kept telling Ton Ton, "It's not me who doesn't want to feed you. It's your owner who refuses to give you food." At times like these, I really long for the day when I have a place of my own & bring Ton Ton with me.

I fed him a teaspoon of yogurt at 8 pm. He continued to have diarrhea though. I told my parents to let him sleep outside but they refused to listen. So what happened? Ton Ton peed & diarrhea-ed on their bed. Still they refused to let him sleep outside. They only agreed when he diarrhea-ed on their bed the 2nd time.

I gave him the entire kitchen, fencing off the kitchen entrance with his play pen. My dad, the extra, took his blanket & pillow to sleep on the other side of the fencing. Bad bad move! This caused Ton Ton to bark non-stop coz he wanted to come out. After 15 mins of his barking, I went out & commanded that he sleeps in his room. At this time, I fed him half a teaspoon of honey. He didn't like it so I had to dump the whole lump on his tongue.

Ton Ton continue to bark. I wanted to ignore him till he stops. But half an hour later, he was still barking/ I went out, yelled at him, grabbed his face & stared till he looked away. I finally could have some peace.

When I checked on him this morning, it appeared that he was diarrhea free the entire night. I fed him another teaspoon of yoghurt & went to work. Half way through, my mom called again. She wanted to feed Ton Ton. I wasn't keen but I know she'll do it anyway. How frustrating! I asked her to cook plain white porridge for him.

All in all, he diarrhea-ed 7-8 times yesterday. I'm not alarmed yet as he's still active & playful. I'll see how he is tonight. Perhaps I can think about making yogurt part of his daily diet to boost intertinal health. Besides, he seems to love it.

Update at 9 pm: He diarrhea-ed again. I asked Jeff to bring him to the clinic tomorrow if he's still having diarrhea tomorrow. I hope it's nothing serious.
