Details, Details

Firstly, a great 'Thank You' to the 2 ladies who helped me with my make up & 'setting' of hair, & the man who offered to be my photographer. You know who you are. :)

It was Friday night. Jeff came to fetch me to Yishun so I could try the gown & he could collect the 'Xi Bing'. He then dropped me off at home at about 9.45 pm while he went for Dota with his friends as a form of bachelor night. From what he told me, he got home around 2+ am & went straight to bed.

Without even changing out of my scrub suit, I changed my bedsheets & mopped the floor. We then had the make up & hairdo trial which lasted till 12+ am. (Thank you for the gifts, ladies.) Jon finally arrived at close to 1 am, lugging with him a huge paper bag of photo albums. By then, I had already started on grooming Ton Ton. We bathed him together & settled down by 3 am.

We then went through the photo albums which contained our photos all the way from Secondary School. We chatted & laughed over the silly pictures. Too bad Sam was not around. Jon dozed off on my sofa bed next door at 5.30 am. I was really sleepy & tired but I just couldn't sleep. Before I knew it, my alarm went off at 6.30 am. It was hectic from then on.

7+ am marked the start of another round of make up & hair 'setting'. MacDonald breakfast delivery for them. We didn't win the 10k though. :P Jeff called at 8.30 am, announcing that he was already downstairs but we weren't ready yet. They finally came up at almost 9 am & my impromtu 'part time' jie meis (as Jeff called them) cum make up artists made Jeff & his brothers sweat outside at the front gate. Jeff actually got all the answers wrong. Haha. The 1st time we kissed? Erm... even I couldn't remember. The place where we 1st held hands? At Jurong East Interchange. I think he said something like at NUH. Round 2 was right outside my door where Jeff had to sing a love song & say 'I love you' in 5 languages. I was laughing in my room & had to put on a straight face as the door opened. Jeff knelt down & was 'forced' to agree on my terms before I would accept the bouquet from him. LOL.

We then left for his house & arrived at almost 9.30 am. The 2 ladies were dropped off by the road side & I heard that 1 of them had to go to work. I feel really grateful to them. We offered joss sticks to the Goddess of Mercy & went on to the tea ceremony. 1st to his grandfather, then to his parents, his sister & brother in law & lastly, his brother. We had to eat 2 dumplings (tang yuan) each.

Now it was back to my house & a repeat of the same thing. We went back to his house & 'rested' till it was time to head down to Goodwood Park Hotel. That was a huge mess. More people turned up than expected & it took quite a long time before we finally sat everyone down after the solemnization.

I'm going to fast forward liao coz I'm so sleepy. :P The last people to leave were close friends (Jeff's brothers, my 'sisters' [Jon & Sam] & my good friends from nursing, Gen & Lifen) & we took some pictures before we parted.

Jeff drove us back & I took over halfway coz he was too tired. Luckily I brought my slip ons as the heels were pinching both my little toes. I showered, fell into bed & slept like a log. I don't think I've recovered from the fatigue coz I'm still sleeping 9 hours a night & having to take 3 to 4 hours nap in the day just so I won't fall asleep. Oh, & you know what? My menses came the day after the ROM. It was on time this month coz the last cycle was during the 1st week of Nov. Thank goodness coz it would have caused great inconvenience. Phew...
