A Nightmare
I screamed for help but nobody came to my aid. Instead, they locked themselves into the safety of their office. Through the maze of the school, I tried to lose him. The environment was darkish as if in dusk but I can see a rainbow extending its arm across the pale blue sky. Helplessness was palpable in my dream, the air thick with fear.
In my nightmare, my 1st boyfriend was chasing me. It’s funny how sometimes your past catches up with you in the uncanniest way. I’ve not thought about him in years. Perhaps it was becoz of my recent return to my old neighborhood during CNY. He used to live just a few bus stops away. In my nightmare, he looked exactly as I remembered him to be. But now I felt him repulsive. I know I sound mean. I just can’t see what I saw in him then.
We’ve all made stupid choices. I don’t really have any regrets. If you’ve never known what is bad, how do you know what is good?

Perhaps this person had left a very bad experience in your mind that causes traumatic impact & just some familiar sights or places just triggers off that experience in the form of a nightmare.
Yes, we do make a lot of bad choices and silly mistakes in our lives which we wish we have the ability to go back in time to change it. Thing is, we can never ever change it, it'd became a page in our life story, so we just have to live with it and get on with life. That's why we should strive to make our lives very happy and try to fill every second of our lives with happy things.
If you look at things through a clear glass, everything looks nice and clean, if you look at things through a dirty glass, everything appears ugly. The same goes for our perspectives in life. Life's too short to fill with unhappy thoughts and memories. Since you'd found a great man, Jeff, who's your soulmate, you should let go of the past & build your dreams with him together.
