A Trip To Heaven
I had a sleepless night last night. I went to bed close to 12 mn. On & off I'll doze off, only to wake up soon. The last time I looked at the time was 5.30 am.
I was on the road to destination unknown. Next thing I knew, I was in a truck with a man. Only I wasn't IN the truck. I was suspended in mid air, thrown out of the truck with a missing door. Time came to a stop & I was trapped in that still picture. This man was locking eyes with me. You wouldn't have imagined a man in tailored suit in a truck. But there he was, just looking at me fall from the truck.
Heaven was not what I imagined it to be. Heaven was really a very big church, complete with a yard. I was kinda lost yet I knew where I was supposed to go. I passed by the main hall with rows & rows of pews. I stopped in front of a double door & went through it into a very oriental room. 2 pre-teen altar boys were helping themselves to food on the oriental table. Before I could even ask, they told me that they were having breakfast & that the room which I seek is just behind them. I looked in the direction they pointed. It was a door to an office. Am I meeting God?
I knocked & entered. There he was, the man who watched me fall. He was now wearing a black cassock. He held my hand & told me that there were things to be done. He explained that he's the head priest here & though I won't be able to see/meet God, He is around everywhere.
My alarm went off at 6 am. I felt a deep sorrow upon leaving such a beautiful & peaceful place. But I was equally sad when I came to realise that I would have left loved ones behind. I don't know why the heaven in my dream was a catholic one. To me, honestly, it doesn't make any difference.
