Puggy's Training

Enrolled Puggy with CD Trainers & had the 1st theory class last Sunday. $300 + $25 for the 15ft & 6ft leash. I'm so so so broke! I received 4 red bombs just for this month + 1 colleague's house warming. Luckily it's pay day today.

As instructed, I trained Puggy starting on Monday. He got abrasions on his paws & 1 of his nail was bleeding. Checked with Chris, our trainer, he said to continue training the next day as usual, but to walk very very slowly when Puggy's refusing to walk. Actually, the smart aleck got it after being choked 3 to 4 times. But there was just 1 particular area in the multistorey carpark that he refuses to go near.

Intermission: I conclude that other people's food/drink always tastes better than your own. Ton Ton doesn't like drinking water & I've been advised to try putting ice or giving him cold water to no avail. Those who've come to my house before will know my computer table is very low, so low that I can sit on the floor. I brought in a big jug of cold water from the fridge & a glass to drink from. Ton Ton came, saw me drinking from the glass, waited for me to refill it & get busy typing this entry. He drank half the glass of my water. I find it kinda amusing. It's the same water that I give him yet he prefers to drink from my glass. Maybe he likes my saliva. :x

Back to the topic, I did bring him again on Tues but he no longer refuses to walk. Changing direction all of a sudden no longer catches him off guard. When I got home, I found his wounds bleeding again. So I rested on Wed since he's made good progress.

It seems that he knows I was going to bring him down. How? I don't know. There's a screen blocking his view of me in the living room, I haven't even picked up the leash & choker. I merely changed & walked into the living room & he started whinning already. He's so eager to go despite it being training. Gone was the old Puggy where I dreaded bringing him out coz he refuses to walk, refuses to even step out of the house & would dash back in immediately if I forcefully drag him out. Now I have a Puggy who's excited to go out, heels pretty well & it's only the 1st theory lesson. I acknowledge the fact that he will never be as tame as Ton Ton. He's just too hyperactive to stay still. But I'm beginning to have hope that we can finally enjoy Puggy for the companion he's supposed to be.
