Motivate Me Pls!
I finally hit the high 65 kg range. Once I can finally reach exactly 65 kg, I'll officially have 10 kg more to go to ditching the overweight category. I'm happy with my progress. I was re-reading some stuff the dr gave me & I came across this information.
* To lose 0.5 kg/week (that's 2 kg/mth), you need to have a deficit of 500 kcal/day. That's 3500 kcal/week.
* That'll mean, to lose 1 kg/week (4 kg/mth), you need to deficit 1000 kcal/day. That's 7000 kcal/week.
* According to the info, you need 32 kcal/kg/day for a sedentary lifestyle. This amount of kcal will maintain your weight. Any lesser, you'll lose. Any more, you'll gain.
The more you lose, the more difficult it is to lose the remaining weight. Coz the energy you require will depend on your weight. The heavier you are, the more energy you need. So at 72 kg, I need 2304 kcal. Say I limit myself to 1200 kcal/day (you're not supposed to go below that anyway), I deficit 1104 kcal/day which will give me weight loss of slightly more than 4 kg/mth. Now at 65.8 kg, I need 2105 kcal. I still limit myself to 1200 kcal but I deficit only 905 kcal/day. It'll give me less than 4 kg of weight loss/mth. By the time I hit 55 kg, I need 1760 kcal, deficit 560 kcal. Weight loss is slightly more than 2 kg/mth. How ah?

remember to maintain even after u slim down. or else will bounce back twice!!!!
good job!! bttr than spending $$ to slimming centre...clap, clap!! but how are you to know yr diet 1200 kcal?? eat more fruits&vegetables, exercise, drink more water, less deep fried, less sweet stuff...i guess u shd be able to maintain it all the way...

Enrica, I'm sick & tired of my weight going yo-yo. This is my 3rd serious dieting. I hope that this time, I'll be motivated enough not to let it bounce back yet again.
SF, I argar argar lor. I got this list of common food with their serving size & kcal amt. But sometimes I indulge & I'll eat lesser the next day to compensate lor.
actually best is to stay away from starch... but i cannot resist having starch for breakfast. cuz that is my 1 and only meal....
after loosing some kgs, sometimes i really feel like crying.. cuz i love food. i love eating.. i love whipping up food when im free..
gosh.. seems like i've been retrench from food...
Haha. A bit of carbs is ok lah. Just have to eat in moderation. Yalor, I have to miss out on my fav food too. Beauty has a high price. Hai...
