Mid Autumn Festival
Jeff kept telling me that he had a surprise for me on the 29th Sept & to keep myself free on that day. I only found out that he was bringing me to the Lantern Exhibit at Chinese Garden on the day itself. I've been wanting to go for years but never saw it through.
Photo taking was difficult coz the lanterns refused to show clearly unless taken in night mode. The problem with night mode is that we don't have a tripod & most of the time, our hands were not steady enough, leading to blurred pictures. Here are some of the pictures that did come out viewable.
Have balance (fish) year after year.
Whale & penguins.
Me with a triumphant grin when I finally managed to get the lantern set up. The darn candle had refused to stick.

Jeff with the seals.
Octopus lamps works into their underwater world theme for this year.
Modern & ancient all in 1 screen.
Me & Mr Stone Guard. I was trying to be funny by handing him the lantern.
Ultra big mooncake with the saying, "Thousand miles to meet up, but wish that the persons involved stay in love forever."
" It ain't easy to balance like this ok? Hurry up & snap already!" That was my exact words to Jeff to chase away people who kept blocking us. Hehe. It worked!
Some of the many "lanterns" on exhibit.
This pair of pelicans were in the middle of the 'lake'. I went as far out as I could without stepping onto the water. I took this with my camera zoomed in to the max & arms stretched out all the way. It took a few tries to get it this sharp.
