For The Past Few Days

Where do I start? Perhaps from Friday (8th July) when I was on afternoon shift. It was a day of anticipation. Work was uneventful. But Jeff was going to rent a car over the weekend so we could go anywhere and everywhere we wanted to go - as a mean of celebrating our 2nd anniversary. Sat morning, we made our way to the car rental shop.
Day 1: 1st stop was back to his place where he picked up his mom for branch in Jurong. After we dropped his mom back at his place, we went to my place and took my parents for a ride. We went to this fish rearing and vegetable farm. My parents were full of praise of Jeff's driving. Well, I think he's not bad for someone who just passed his driving test. He's a cautious driver, something that I really appreciate. We dropped my parents back at my place and went back to his place. Showered, dressed up and we sent his mom to Clementi for her twice weekly mahjong session before heading to Orchard ourselves. Had dinner at Mushroom Pot in OG Orchard Point. Then we picked up his friends for LAN gaming in Bukit Timah. I was very tired and so I snoozed while they played on. By the time we left, it was close to 1 am. Everyone decided to go to Clementi for supper as Jeff has to send his mom back home. It was already 2+ am when we left Clementi. Head home and slept at 3+ am.
Day 2: Woke up at 6 am coz Jeff was picking me up at 6.30 am for this run he had to participate in. I volunteered to go coz I felt that it was an unique way of starting our actual 2nd anniversary. The event started at 8 am, behind Central Mall. Ending point: HPB. We left at 9+ am and went to his house. Jeff, his mom and I left for his sis's place in Punggol at 11+ am. His sis and mom wanted to go to Bugis to buy baby supplies. We had buffet lunch at a hotel which name I didn't take note of. We spilt up after that. Me and Jeff, his mom and sis. A short while later, they called and said they couldn't find anything to their liking and wanted to go to Clementi to buy cloth for curtains. So our next destination was decided. Weather was bad. It was raining very heavily. We waited in the car while his mom and sis went to get the material. Jeff suggested of a place near his camp where they sell good roasted duck and off we went. Finally, we headed back to his house for dinner. After which, Jeff had to drive his sis back home and I decided to tag along since I've never been to her place before. We met up with Jeff's good friend & gf for the last event for the day. We ate frog leg porridge in Chinatown. And last stop: Geylang. We had trouble parking so we parked at the HDB carpark and walked in. I had my 1st salted soya milk with you tiao & oyster sauce mee sua. We were stuffed but we just had to have the durians. When we finally got back home, I was bushed.
Day 3: We decided to extend the car rental for 1 more day. Since he only signed 1/2 a day of off pass, he had to go back to camp to sign the other 1/2 day. I met his camp mates and officers. We then led the way to another camp for his camp mate. We went back to his house and picked his mom up. We had prawn mee at Teck Whye. That was at 12 pm. Then we went to Lot 1 as his mom wanted to buy some grocery. Headed back to his house and did some house work. HIs mom wanted to go Orchard while I wanted to go Bukit Timah to buy an electric aromatherapy burner. We went to BBDC where I signed up and his mom wanted to pass Basic Theory just so she can prove Jeff's dad wrong. She changed her mind after she filled up the form and I was the only 1 to follow through. Then it's on to Bukit Timah. In the end, it was too ex and I ended up not buying. Then we went to Bukit Timah hawker centre and had something to eat. His mom decided not to go to Orchard and we sent her back home. In order not to waste the little time remaining, we went to West Coast where I used to live. We just drove around before deciding to go Railway Mall. I've always wanted to go there and since we have the car, why not? We parked in the private carpark (shh...) and walked along the row of shops. We came across an interesting place to hang out. This place allows you to sample wine at a reasonable fee. They also can bottle up and you can choose what you want to write on the label which is a unique gift for friends who love wine. The only down side is they only have australian wine. Then we left the place with a coconut ice cream which contains lots and lots of coconut flakes. Yummy! Jeff actually choked on the coconut flakes. We then drove to Serangoon to pass the car to his camp mate who will be returning the car for us the next day. That's the end of our 3 days celebration of our 2 yrs anniversary.
