Worried

It's only been 16 months since my mom went for her mitral valve replacement & repair of foramen ovale. 2 weeks ago, she accidentally discovered a lump in her breast when her breasts were bruised due to the warfarin she's taking. She was pressing around to feel for any pain when she felt the lump. 1 week ago, she finally went to the polyclinic & got a referral letter to the specialist. Today, 1 week later, is her appointment with the breast surgeon.

As I was working, I couldn't accompany her. My supervisor took MC & I'm the only 1 on duty so I can't leave. So Jeff took leave & went with her. Dr A said that it could be just a hematoma & sent her for a mammogram. But it wasn't conclusive & she's being scheduled for a biopsy. I have been holding on to the hope that it's just a hematoma but then I just realised that she's had it for 2 weeks now. If it's a hematoma, shouldn't it have gone away or at least become smaller? Her last mammogram 2 years ago was cleared.

Oh, please don't let it be malignant!
