Sometimes...
Yes, it's 1 of those days. 1 of those very lousy days. It's really funny how just 1 person can make or break your day. Don't really feel like going into details. Let's just say it's 1 of the high flyers colleague whom most people dislike becoz of her character. The day is over & I just have to get through tomorrow.
Sometimes, life really sucks. I wonder if there really is balance in life. We've lamented about how unfair life is. But whose life isn't filled with ups & downs? When you're at the top of the world, who's to say you won't plunge all the way down the next min? When you're deep in the pit, who's to say that you won't rise to the top in the next min?
There're so many aspects in our life. We can't be on top in every aspect & we can't be at the bottom all the time. My work life absolutely sucks but otherwise, other parts of my life are fairly good. At least for now. Like everyone else, I've been in the dumps - love life, work life, family, basically everything. I've also been up there - work is bearable, love life is good, family's ok. Life is just so unpredictable.
I cried at work today in a deserted corner at the back of the theatre while on the phone telling Jeff about what happened. I was near tears when my preceptor offered words of encouragement. I was near tears again as I confided in SH & Jus during lunch break. I thought I could cry in the safety & comfort of my home. But I just couldn't. Not when I was greeted by a chorus of barking welcoming me home. Not when Ton Ton looked at me with love in his eyes from under the table. Not when Puggy started to act like his irritating self becoz all he craves for is my company. Not when Wang Wang looks at me apprehensively for the daily oral spray. I'm well loved at home even if I'm not at work. What more can I ask for?
I borrowed a few books on dogs before we left for HK. I love some of the writings inside but it would be wrong to recreate it here right? I'll just include 1 quote which reminded me of Piggy. Haha. Becoz I remembered she once told me that children are more dirty than dogs. So I'm sure she'll love this quote. It also reminds me of dogs being banned from practically everywhere in SG becoz people complain that they're dirty.
