Zombified - Well... Not Quite

I was on-call yesterday. Meaning I worked from 10 am yesterday to 10 am this morning. Nobody liked being on-call but then, nobody seems to complain when the pay cheque comes. If we have no cases to do, we can actually sleep at night. Whatever hours we work from 11 pm to 7 am is considered overtime and we get paid overtime rates. I only managed to go to sleep at 5 am, being the very last to go (not including sister). Well, what to do? I'm a newbie. So it means that the organisation pays me less to be doing OT than a senior whose basic salary has got to be a couple of hundred more than mine.
We have to get up at 7 am to prepare for the daytime cases. On paper it says that I slept for 2 hours. But in reality, it's really much lesser than that. Being a light sleeper, I can never sleep well there. Besides, my feet were literally throbbing with pain from standing for the past 15 hours or so (after deducting meal breaks), preventing sleep. So I wonder if there's an underlying problem coz nobody else seems to have the same problem.
All I wanted to do was to have a good rest. I got out of the lift, stood in front of my door and... Oh shit! I forgot to bring my keys when I left home the previous day and nobody's home! Called my dad, got scolding from him and he drove my mom back home to give me her set of keys. So finally I'm home.
Basically, there're 2 major problem areas in my life. Working and family life. I really don't know how much is considered ethical to reveal.
Ok, there's this Dr Y whom everybody hates. He likes only pretty girls and treats the rest like shit. I mean it ok? He's obnoxious and extremely rude. As I've said, he's only nice to pretty girls. He seems to be prejudiced towards Indians, treating them especially harsh, even the anaesthetist. Nobody can stand him unless of course you're among the few whom he favours. It's mostly the tone in which he speaks to you like you're nothing but a dog who has to obey him. That's what he makes me feel like. I guess he learns from the best. Coz his superior (Dr J) once shouted at my colleague, calling him a 'stupid idiot'. If you use a word that Dr J doesn't like when talking to him, he'll go to sister and say, "How dare a nurse talk to me this way?" They practically dripped sarcasm and malice. Whoever gave them the right to treat us this way? Equality only exists in other countries. Here? My foot! That's why I have plans to quit.
Alright, enough of this. Makes my blood boil just thinking about it. I wonder if I'll get into trouble for writing all this. Signing off now.

Well well well.. it seems that these people that you are talking about are really quite a bunch of idiots. If they are really what you described, then they are really one. Well my dear, life is always like that full of problems and difficulties.. this is why we need to treasure all the happy moment together and Hack Care those Jerks. Let's try to concentrate on more important things than thinking of those idiots. Well life is very tough i understand. But you must hang on ok? Love you...
